City Hotel Comfitel

An attractive small hotel offering elegant and spacious accommodation, the City Hotel Comfitel has a reasonably central location in a historic neighborhood a couple of kilometers from Nevsky Prospekt.

The City Hotel Comfitel was opened in 2005 and is part of a chain of superior mini-hotels scattered around the historic center. Offering 33 reasonably priced rooms all decorated in an attractive traditional style, the Comfitel covers five floors (guests should bear in mind that the hotel currently has no lift) of a typical late 19th century building on Ligovsky Prospekt, one of St. Petersburg's main central avenues. Owned by a local travel agency, the Comfitel can provide guests with a reasonable range of standard concierge services, and also has its own cafe and beauty salon.

The hotel's location, about 2km down Ligovsky Prospekt from Nevsky Prospekt and Ploshchad Vosstaniya/Moskovsky Station, is convenient for guests willing to use overland public transport, with scores of buses, minibuses, and trams running down Ligovsky Prospekt. Journey time to the 'Golden Triangle', where most of St. Petersburg's major visitor attractions are located, is around 20 minutes. The Comfitel is also not far from Moskovsky and Vitebsky Stations, and very close to the city's Central Coach Station.
