The simplest way to reach the Hermitage by public transport from the City Hotel Comfitel is to walk to Ligovsky Prospekt Metro Station (roughly 15 minutes) and take the orange line two stops west to Spasskaya. Change there to the blue line from Sennaya Ploshchad, and travel one stop north to Nevsky Prospekt. Exit the metro from the front of the train, cross the Griboedov Canal and walk up the north side of Nevsky Prospekt until you reach the archway of the General Staff Building (just past the Moika River). This leads through to Palace Square, with the Winter Palace opposite. The visitor entrance to the Hermitage is in the west wing of the building.

How do I get from the hotel to the Mariinsky Theatre?

As neither the City Hotel Comfitel nor the Mariinsky have convenient access to the metro, guests are recommended to use taxis to/from the theatre. The drive should take 15-20 minutes. The only public transport option is to take a northbound No. 3 bus from Ligovsky Prospekt. The circuitous journey will take at least 30 minutes - and much more a peak times - but does eventually bring you to the bus stop directly in front of the theatre.

What visitor attractions are located near the hotel?

There are few if any visitor attractions within walking distance of the City Hotel Comfitel. The only possible exception is the Cossack Church of the Exaltation of the Cross, just beyond Obvodny Canal on Ligovsky Prospekt and about ten minutes' walk from the hotel.
