Behind a stern 1960s facade the Ladoga Hotel one will find a surprisingly friendly and comfortable hotel, with attentive multi-lingual staff. Located across the Neva River from the historic city center, the hotel is only one block away from the nearest metro station - Novocherkasskaya - giving travelers easy access to just about any corner of the city. The surrounding area has plenty of trees, but is quite uninspiring, which helps keep the prices down. The rooms are clean and comfortable, all with well-equipped en suite bathrooms. The Ladoga's in-house restaurants serves good buffet breakfast in the mornings and is open for a-la-carte service throughout the day, while an adjacent bar is cozy enough to enjoy an evening drink (or two).
Don't be deceived by appearances! The Ladoga Hotel is a simple, but overall enjoyable hotel in eastern St. Petersburg.
