The easiest way to reach the Hermitage and Palace Square from the Rossi Boutique Hotel is to walk. On leaving the hotel, turn right onto Ulitsa Lomonosova, and walk the length of the street to the Griboedov Canal. Turn right up to Nevsky Prospekt, and then left along Nevsky. After you cross the Moika River, you will see the archway to the General Staff Building on your left. This leads through to Palace Square, with the Winter Palace opposite.
