Thank you Rossi!

The Rossi Boutique Hotel and their entire staff are wonderful! Our daughter has been studying down the street at the famous Vaganova Ballet Academy and the Rossi has become a sort of second home to us. When we first took our daughter to Russia we stayed in a different hotel nearby and it was a nightmare (for about the same price). Then we discovered the Rossi and we have now stayed there about a dozen times, and each one has been the most pleasant experience. I cannot say enough about how incredible the staff is. We love them all and will miss them now that our daughter is graduating.

Five delicious days!

We spent five delicious days in the Rossi Boutique Hotel. It was absolutely marvelous. We stayed 4 nights with a group of 15 people. The hotel is very well located, close to the Nevski Prospect. It's a nice historical building, a beautiful combination of tradition and modern comfort. Some rooms may be a bit small, but that is compensated by the nice architecture. The staff of the hotel, all of them young people, were very friendly: you could ask them anything, they spoke foreign languages fluently, always helped, and with a smile! I can recommend this hotel to every tourist, it's only five minutes walking from the Nevsky Prospekt.

Great service, great price, great location.

Very charming hotel, and the staff was incredibly helpful with anything from acquiring taxies to getting there and around. The hotel is clean and safe, the restaurant is excellent and the location is superb. It's situated right near the Nevskij Prospekt and the night and city life. I would recommend this for almost all travellers, though should travellers with infants or minor children perhaps find a bigger hotel. This hotel definitely exceeds my expectations.

My visit in October 2009

I was there in October 2009. I liked the place because it was exactly what I expected. I wanted a smaller hotel with good English-speaking staff and with some local character… Our room – a deluxe room – was spacious enough but not huge and offered a nice view to the river and a lovely round-shaped square with some little statue in the middle. We paid a little more to get a deluxe room with a view, rather than a – still nice- standard room on the back of the hotel. They offered free wi-fi Internet access and a few more little perks which I already forgot… The restaurant was good and the Chef came out of the kitchen to greet patrons on one of the nights we were there. That was a pleasant surprise too… I have to say I really liked their live fireplace in the lobby. I suspect it is of no use in the summer, but in October – when we came - it made the place feel very cozy.
