| Ok for a few days |
| My wife and I stayed 3 nights 23 april 2009 arriving 11 pm off the train by taxi. Reception was open despite late hour. Our room looked out onto school yard. It felt quite cramped considering we were on a 5-week trip. There was no area to wash clothes or hang anything. No fridge. Wi-fi free; Tv yes, no traffic noise (quiet), breakfast ok. Very handy to shops on Nevsky Prospect - Recommended for short stays - clean but may look a bit old-fashioned. All in all, it was OK for the price. We are early 60's and fit, only have 60cm case each and been to overseas 6 times. |

| January 2010 Trip |
| We planned a trip to St. Petersburg in Jan2010 to visit our daughter who was studying at Herzen University. We picked the Nevsky Hotel Grand based on Price and Location and were absolutely delighted with our stay. We had a standard twin room for the kids, and a standard double for my wife and I. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and the location was superb, and the hotel staff was friendly and spoke some English. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting St. Petersburg. |
