St. Petersburg Music and Theatre Museums
St. Petersburg has for over 200 years been a centre of excellence for both classical music and theatre, especially musical theatre. Several museums in the city are devoted to telling the story of the development of the Russian schools of composition, ballet, opera and dramatic theatre.
A small museum adjacent to the Alexandrinsky Theatre containing exhibits connected to the history of the former Imperial Theatre and its stars in the 19th and 20th centuries, including costumes, set designs, and playbills.
