The drive to the hotel by taxi or pre-arranged transfer will take 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. To reach the hotel by public transport, take any bus from outside the arrivals lounge to Moskovskaya Metro Station. There, board a northbound train on the blue line and travel seven stops to Nevsky Prospekt. Change to the green line, and travel one stop west to Vasileostrovskaya. From there it is around eight minutes' walk to the Solo Sokos Vasilievskiy.

The Moscow Railway Station is a six-kilometer drive from the Solo Sokos Hotel Vasilievskiy, so by taxi or transfer the trip will take around 15 minutes. If you prefer to use public transport, take the metro from Mayakovskaya (connected to the mainline station by tunnel) and travel west on the green line two stops to Vasileostrovskaya. From there it is less than ten minutes' walk to the hotel, so the whole journey should not take more than 20 minutes.

From here it's a short walk to the Menshikov Palace, the Kunstkammer and the Twelve Colleges (St. Petersburg State University), and across bridges to the Winter Palace or to the Peter and Paul Fortress. Just a few steps from the hotel on the embankment, guests will find the Academy of Arts building and the Ancient Egyptian sphinxes in front of it and, in the opposite direction towards the metro, the late-baroque Cathedral of Andrew the First-Called.
