Opened in 1912, the Astoria Hotel has accommodated a vast range of prominent guests, including Vladimir Lenin, H G Wells, George W Bush and Madonna. While the hotel will soon be in need of renovation, its larger rooms are beautifully designed to combine modern comforts with historic atmosphere. The location, directly opposite St. Isaac's Cathedral, is one of the best in the city, with all St. Petersburg's major visitor attractions, including the Hermitage and Nevsky Prospekt, a short walk away. »»»
