Exit the metro from the front of the train, cross the Griboedov Canal and walk west along Nevsky until you come to the archway of the General Staff Building, on your left just past the Moika River. The archway leads through to Palace Square, with the visitor entrance to the Hermitage in the west wing of the Winter Palace.

How do I get from the hotel to the Mariinsky Theatre?

It is possible to walk from the Azimut Hotel St. Petersburg to the Mariinsky Theatre in about 20 minutes. Walk from the hotel along Lemontovskiy Prospekt across the Fontanka River and the Griboedov Canal, and take the second right after the canal up Ulitsa Soyuza Pechatnikov to reach the south side of the Mariinsky. The only alternative is to take a taxi.
