Opened in 1989, the "Swabian Yard" is one of the oldest private restaurants in St. Petersburg. In its pub-style interiors, the restaurant serves an approximation of German cuisine and a wide range of draft beers from Germany and elsewhere in Europe. If you're staying across the river on the Okhta side, it's worth visiting for a beer, although the food menu has definitely been left behind by newer establishments.
