"Kompot" is a traditional Eastern European fruit drink, a free glass of which is provided for every customer at this trendy cafe-bar a few minutes' walk from Nevsky Prospekt. Otherwise, there's very little traditional about this cozy establishment, which combines stylish interiors, a laid-back atmosphere, and friendly service with an inexpensive menu of soups, sandwiches, and filling entrees that stretches from Vietnam to the Middle East. Vegetarians are well catered for, too.
