Kharlamov Bridge

One of the Griboedov Canal's newest bridges, Kharlamov Bridge, which carries Ulitsa Romskogo-Korsakogo across the canal, is a single-span reinforced concrete bridge with granite facing. It was built to replace a wooden bridge, which had stood on the site since 1753. The bridge's name honors a State Councilor who lived nearby in the 18^th century. In comparison to the Griboedov Canal's other bridges, Kharlamov Bridge is woefully lacking in ornament, and even its railings are strictly functional.
