Opened in 2001, the Presitge Vasilevsky was one of the first wave of mini-hotels in St. Petersburg. Unpretentious and reasonably priced, it continues to offer comfortable, modern accommodation in a quiet corner of Vasilevsky Island, just a few minutes walk from the metro.
Occupying part of a charming early 20th century apartment block with a gated, paved courtyard, the Prestige Vasilevsky Mini-Hotel has only ten rooms, all decorated in a quirky but pleasant style, with a good range of standard amenities including air-conditioning and complimentary access to WiFi Internet. There is also a small cafe/snack bar in the hotel which serves continental breakfast and snacks and drinks throughout the day. Otherwise, facilities are minimal, but the reception do provide basic concierge and business services.
Vasilevsky Island is one of the most appealing neighborhoods in St. Petersburg, with a laid-back, European atmosphere and rows of elegant 19th and early 20th century apartment buildings. It was also the original center of St. Petersburg as envisioned by Peter the Great and there are therefore numerous fascinating monuments and attractions within walking distance of the Prestige Mini-Hotel. The hotel is also convenient for Lenexpo, which is one stop away on the metro or 15 minutes' drive.
