The Admiralteyskaya Hotel is located on Matisov Island, a secluded district of St. Petersburg's historic center a few blocks south of the Mariinsky Theatre. The nearest metro stations - Sadovaya, Sennaya Ploshchad, and Spasskaya - are all located on Sennaya Ploshchad, around 25 minutes' walk from the hotel. The hotel does, however, run a shuttle minibus service to/from the metro mornings and evenings.
Moskovsky Railway Station is around 6km from the Admiralteyskaya Hotel, and the drive to/from the station will take 20-30 minutes. Vitebsky Station is very slightly closer to the hotel, while Ladozhsky is almost in the opposite corner of St. Petersburg, and takes at least 45 minutes to reach by car.
Pulkovo-2 International Airport is around 14km from the Admiralteyskaya Hotel. The drive to/from the airport takes 30-50 minutes depending on traffic. It is also possible to take a public minibus to/from the airport from Sennaya Ploshchad, around 25 minutes' walk from the hotel. Pulkovo-1, which almost exclusively serves domestic flights, is a further 2km out of the city. |

| The Admiralteyskaya's secluded location means that it is not particularly convenient for any of St. Petersburg's major visitor attractions, except for the Mariinsky Theatre of Opera and Ballet, which is around 15 minutes' walk from the hotel. Founded in 1783 on the order of Catherine the Great, the Mariinsky (which was known as the Kirov during the Soviet period) is one of the world's greatest opera houses, and in Valery Gergiev, Artistic Director, it boasts one of the greatest conductors in contemporary classical music. With its beautiful neoclassical building and sumptuous interiors, a night at the Mariinsky is generally considered an essential part of any visit to St. Petersburg. The recently opened Mariinsky Concert Hall, which is even closer to the hotel on Ulitsa Dekabristov, also offers a superb programme of concerts from top international and local performers. |
